LoRa mesh network legality

Hi guys, I’m new here and I’m here because I’d like to learn more about the LoRa Chirp Spread-Spectrum (CSS, 868MHz in the UK) physical layer (OSI layer 1) for the Internet of Things (IoT). Specifically I’d like to know if the harmonics generated by this protocol are troublesome (and perhaps even in violation of regulation), and if not then why not. Given the accelarating roll-out of the IoT I find it hard to entertain the idea that it entails transgressions, but I’d like a better understanding. Thanks for reading.
